Pufferballie: 2014

2014 has been an extremely eventful year - meeting many new people in my first proper job and in university, getting back A level results, staying in a residential college far from home, rediscovering but also losing friendships and spending rare and precious family time.

I started 2014 in a job at Starhub Parkway Parade as a customer service officer (I actually started working in December) - where I met people who I hope will continue to stay in my life for a long time, experienced the working world and extremely horrible people but of course really nice people, found and lost love.

I guess I really started appreciating people who take on jobs in the service sector mainly, and perhaps I got to grasp hold of the value of money since I was pretty much working to support myself hahaha. Also took my first motorcycle ride - which has inspired me to eventually learn how to ride a bike HAHAHA but probably not anytime soon bc my balance is .....

Also went for my third trip to Taiwan in end Jan and I think this really deserves a separate post altogether. By far my longest and most enjoyable trip bc of all the places we visited which I absolutely loved - including different night markets every night, Ximending, Dakeng Farm, Fengjia night market definitely deserves special attention, and XiaoRenGuo to name a few. But yes I shall do another post on this but here are some photos from the first few days in Gaosiung and Tainan hehehe.

Also Cijin island in Kaosiung sells amazing food such as:

grilled sotong is absolutely DAYUMMMM

And of course CHINESE NEW YEAR

Which also means lots of ang paos + amazing cny goodies ; really really love the chilli shrimp rolls, kueh bangkit, bakwa, open-top pineapple tarts, peanut puffs

Wah talk until I want to eat all that man nvm CNY JUST AROUND THE CORNER HEHEHE

With the brother ; last minute decision to wear jerseys together hehe

Also visited Chinatown w fatty where we ate amazing chayedan and hawker food hehe

Then I went to USS for the first time w Amira and we got season passes so you can imagine how many more times I went after that first time + student passes at only $88 so why not man. Ended up going multiple times with Amira and also w Mary Ann + Flora hehe but even then I'm not at all sick off going there. Met many walking toys and I can safely say I've sat all the rides since Battlestar was closed for the entire period of my season pass HAHAHA.

And in between working, I met my hammies various times which are times I will always remember, treasure. Really very appreciative I met them 5 in JC and I just hope that even in future, we can always have meet-ups with lame and silly times together ;')

We also went to Switch by Timbre, which incidentally serves amazing roasted duck pizza for only $21 (I just decided I shall do food reviews when I want to also yah hahahah)

Then Vanessa flew off to Taiwan + Japan, so 5/6 of us went down to the airport for yakun breakfast with her and to send her off (as though she's going for a year but actually only a few weeks lah)

1. Safari Zoo Run

We got free entry into the zoo after the run, which was pretty cool since zoo tickets are like what, 20+ bucks?? Also so many aunties went for the run to LOOK AT ANIMALS WHILE RUNNING HAHAHAHA. So I followed them and looked at elephants ft. below:
